How do the Arm, Home, Disarm modes work?2018-04-20T22:56:45+00:00

Arm – Doors Sensors and Motion Sensors are activated when the system is set to Arm.
When Arm is selected, the Smart Box will start beeping. By default, you’re given 10 seconds  “Exit Delay”  to leave your home before the system is armed.

Home – Only Door/Window Sensors are activated when the system is set to Home.
Set your system to this mode when you’re home, it’s suitable to use it at night when you are sleep.

Disarm – When Disarm is selected, you will hear a long beep and the system is immediately deactivated and no longer armed.

Panic – When you are in an emergency situation, press the Panic button on your R/C and the system will send n instant alerts, SMS, and make a call to the number stored in the panic section.

Yes, the integration is through the cloud app, no wiring between IP camera and Smart Box.

What’s the difference between Cloud and independent APP?2018-04-16T22:17:18+00:00

Usually independent APP is used to control or monitor a system, yet Cloud collects and save big data to analyze it, so it can provide much more functions than independent APP.

What is the Pet-Immune motion sensor?2018-04-20T22:51:27+00:00

It can be used as a pet immune detector when it equips with lens model LN-P.
To ensure the best immune of this detector, please refer to the following notices carefully.
– This detector is immune one domestic pet up to 18 kg or 60 cm moving on the floor.
– If an animal activity takes place above 1 meter high, the pet immunity allowance will be significantly reduced.
It is therefore recommended to select a mounting location that can avoid animal moving within 1.8 m of the detector.

When I walk past a motion sensor, it flashes then remains off?2018-04-20T22:46:42+00:00

Motion sensors turn off for 3 minutes to conserve its battery power.
If you arm the system while standing in front of the sensor, the motion sensor will work again after 3 min.

Why my system tells me that one of the sensors is lost?2018-04-20T22:48:45+00:00

The sensor sends “heartbeat” signal to the Smart Box hourly.
If the Smart Box has not received the signal from the sensor in the “Sensor Supervise Time” then the system will issue a warning message.
At this moment please check the following items:
1, The sensor is still existing and working.
2, Replace with new batteries and press the test button to check the “dB” reading on the display.
If the reading is lower than 40dB then you should move the sensor to a better location.

What is the meaning of Inactivity Monitoring?2018-04-20T23:14:48+00:00

The Inactivity function is an excellent feature of the i4Home system to help the elderly or physically challenged when they stay alone.
There are two types of device can be used as Inactivity sensor, Wireless Medical Button, and Motion Sensors.

Wireless Medical Button: Besides the help button itself, there is a vibration sensor in the device. If the vibration sensor has not detected any vibration for about 12 hours (fixed) then the device will send Inactivity Medical Alarm to the system to call for help.
Notice: The user should not leave the button at home if he leaves the house for more than 12 hours, otherwise the Inactivity Alarm will be issued.

Motion Sensors: they can be assigned as Inactivity Sensor.
Put the sensors at where everyday activities will take place, like a bathroom or living room.
If the sensors have not detected any activities for the time set in the Inactivity timer then the system will issue Inactivity Medical Alarm to call for help.
Notice: The user should turn off this function if he leaves the house longer than the Inactivity Time set in the system, otherwise the Inactivity Alarm will be issued.

The Inactivity timer can be set from 0 to 72 hours. If only Wireless Medical Button is used the Inactivity timer should be set as 0 hour

What is the main cause of false alarms?2018-04-20T23:20:21+00:00

In our system, the false alarms are so rare
However, this what can cause false alarms:
Rapid temperature changes and spiders.
Do not install Motion Sensors near wall vents or draughty areas or facing a sunny window. Often you may get tiny spiders and their webs on ceiling cornices,
simply apply some insect surface spray occasionally and you won’t have a problem.
